THE STORY BEHIND BEADWORK BY ALANA

The designer, Alana is a Mohawk from the community of Kanehsatà:ke, Quebec. She was first introduced to beadwork when she was around seven years old by her mother. Her very first creations were bracelets and rings. At a later age, her mother also taught her how to sew, but beading was her preferred creative outlet and began creating beaded earrings when she was a teenager.

Over the years, her passion for beading kept growing and she started this venture with the hope to share her creations with others.

A part from her business, Alana works a full-time job and enjoys outdoor adventures. For Alana, beading is a good stress reliever and the perfect hobby to keep her creativity alive.
